Since 2000, Robby and Clare are dedicated professionals who have been treating patients with integrity, compassion and the knowledge that comes with 26 years of clinical experience in sports medicine and everyday musculoskeletal ailments.

ROBBY LODGE M.SC, MISCP
Robby graduated as a chartered physiotherapist from Cardiff University in 1993. He then worked in the Northern General Hospital, UK where he completed his hospital rotations. Following this, in the USA, he specialised in Musculoskeletal medicine partaking in part time post graduate study in the Institute of Healthcare Professionals in Massachusetts General Hospital. On return to Ireland Robby worked in the Southeastern health board in outpatients and orthopaedics. In 2000 he established Southeastern Physiotherapy where he now works full time. In 2009 Robby completed his M.Sc in Sports Physiotherapy at UCD.He was lead Physiotherapist for Kilkenny Senior hurling team from 2001-2010.
DR CLARE LODGE M.SC, DPT, MISCP
Clare graduated as a chartered physiotherapist from Cardiff University in 1993. She completed her 2 year hospital rotation in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield before specialising in Musculoskeletal medicine. She furthered her studies whilst working in Boston Massachusetts USA as a post graduate student in Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Care Professionals in advanced orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions. On return to Ireland in 2000 she completed her Sports Medicine MSc in UCD whilst setting up practice in Stoneyford. At the same time she commenced a lecturing post in IT Carlow on the BSc Sports Rehabilitation Athletic 4 year programme, where she still lectures on 3rd and 4th year modules on the same course.
In 2010 Clare received her clinical doctorate in Physiotherapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Care Professionals.
She has vast clinical experience in treating sports medicine conditions and has worked with amateur and elite athletes and sports teams in her 26 years of practice.
With over 15 years of experience in business and retail management and a strong track record of performance in high pressure environments, Helen joined the team as Clinic administrator in 2006 following completion of her secretarial diploma. Helen has been instrumental in the business growth and development. As the first point of contact for Southeastern Physiotherapy Helen ensures a warm welcome and smooth operation of all patient interactions.

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?
We accept, GP and Consultant referrals but we also accept self referral. With your permission we may contact your GP/ referring medic to optimise your management.
WHAT TYPES OF HEALTH INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?
As Chartered Physiotherapists we are accepted by all insurance company's. Check out your cover and plan to find out if your are covered for Physiotherapy services. Once seen we will provide you with a receipt, upon payment, which you can submit to your health insurance provider for reimbursement. Reimbursement will depend on the type of plan that you are on.
WHAT IS YOUR NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?
New patients are booked in for 45 minutes with one of our chartered physiotherapists. This initial session encompasses a clinical evaluation that details the history behind your presenting problem and a physical clinical examination. At the end of this assessment the physiotherapist will discuss future management and provide you with the information necessary to manage your problem and book you in for subsequent treatment and follow up if necessary.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED ?
There is no standard answer, each presentation and person is individual and no two problems will present the same. The Physiotherapist will assess and examine you on the initial visit and at the end of this a plan will be put in place which may result in one or more follow up visits, referral for further investigations or simply a tailored programme and future follow up. This plan can only be made post initial examination.
